neck pain

Most neck pain originates from minor issues, such as muscle strain due to poor posture or sleeping in an uncomfortable position, and resolves without treatment or with modest lifestyle changes. However, certain signs and symptoms are indicators that there is likely a more serious underlying problem. These include:

  1. Severe or excruciating pain
  2. Headaches
  3. The pain persists for a prolonged period of time
  4. Pain radiates to the shoulders or arms, especially accompanied by numbness, cold sensations, and/or weakness
  5. Muscle spasms or decreased range of motion

Lower back pain can develop from a number of sources. Often, it occurs due to mechanical issues concerning the muscles, ligaments, tendons, or bones in your back. A structural deformity in the spine, such as scoliosis, can also lead to lower back pain. In other cases the pain may be neurological in nature, and might require tests or detailed imaging to properly diagnose. Causes of lower back pain include:

  1. Muscle or ligament sprain or strain
  2. Arthritis
  3. Herniated disc
  4. Sciatica
  5. Degenerative disc disease
  6. Radiculopathy
  7. Spinal stenosis
  8. Injury
